Key requirements included EMC shielding and UL 94 V-0 flame rating. In addition to detailed cosmetics, the design required an isolated area for proper venting.
The part’s deep draw ratio made achieving a uniform wall thickness difficult, yet the design offered tight space for internal components. Profile’s solution overcame the challenges by creating a perimeter undercut with a smaller-than-normal radius.
