Forming Setup Technician

Perform tooling changeovers and set-up for thermoforming machines efficiently and within time deadlines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Start-up and Shut-down of thermoforming lines, setups and changeovers.
  • Ability to diagnose problems and perform minor adjustments/repairs to thermoforming machines to ensure efficient operation.
  • Perform in-process inspections of parts throughout production run and assure they meet visual standards of acceptance
  • Ensure operators are properly trained and are performing their duties correctly.
  • Recognize defective materials for color, surface blemishes, finish, and dimensions
  • Report any non-critical machine deficiencies to Assistant Supervisor as needed

SKILLS

  • Must have ability to read written and printed job order sheets, work instructions, and quality specification documents.
  • Must have ability to effectively hear verbal work instructions and other communications from supervisors and co-workers and to verbally communicate instructions and other information to supervisors and co-workers.
  • Ability to be on feet the majority of the work day and capable of lifting 50+lbs
  • Capable of solving problems and making quick decisions
  • Excellent organization, communication, and comprehensive skills
  • Ability and knowledge to safely operate forklifts, power tools and hand tools.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5+ years previous work experience as a Set-Up Technician
  • Prior plastic processing and material experience required
  • OSHA and Safety Certifications are a plus (10 & 30 hour, LOTO etc.)
  • High school diploma/GED required

SCHEDULE

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • In person in our Lake Bluff, IL 60044 facility (Required)

SALARY RANGE

$20 – $25 an hour

Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Process and verify the receipt and shipment of all orders, products, materials and supplies to ensure timely and accurate processing. Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, leads, customer service representatives, logistics providers, drivers and team members.

Maintains a safe and organized workspace with attention to detail and shipment schedule. Will be responsible for all shipping and receiving paperwork such as but not limited to packing lists, bills of ladings, shipping requests and export documents. Will use computer skills with ability to use logistics portals, shipping software, websites and complete transactions in the company computer system. Operates forklift/standup, pallet jacks, picks orders, loads and unloads trucks as needed. This job description is not all inclusive, the shipping/receiving clerk will follow all directions, assignments, tasks and duties as directed by management, supervisor or lead.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work safely.
  • Receive and verify counts of all incoming sheet, components, materials and products.
  • Verify and sign incoming bill of ladings.
  • Print receiving documents, labels and attach to incoming materials.
  • Assign, put away or deliver to designated location, department or person.
  • Review, process and verify counts on shipping requests.
  • Process/schedule shipments via portal, website and phone.
  • Process all UPS and FedEx shipments.
  • Ensure all same day shipments are processed and shipped.
  • Complete and print packing lists and bill of ladings and post for drivers.
  • Count and verify all orders are picked and shipping complete and correctly.
  • Complete inventory adjustments in computer system.
  • Complete cycle counts and maintains inventory accuracy.
  • Verify all export orders are shipping with the correct export documents.
  • Communicate with CSR’s regarding shipments, tracking information, delays or issues.
  • Maintain organization in the warehouse and manage inventory locations.
  • Operate forklift, stand up, pallet jack or two-wheeler as needed.
  • load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Run end of day for UPS and Fed Ex shipments and save to the N drive.
  • Turn in all paperwork and outstanding pick-up form to the office at the end of day.
  • Communicate and work with team members, drivers, supervisors, leads and others.
  • Ensure all orders ship on time.
  • Provide back-up support to cover lunches and breaks.
  • Maintain organization of workspace, orders and paperwork.
  • Ensure all doors and lights are closed and off at the end of the day.
  • Follows and reviews all company shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Follows any other tasks, duties or directions from management, supervisor or lead.
